Alaska

Sun May 31, 2009, 4:30 PM
Back in Alaska for the next few years probably. I was sick in bed for two weeks straight and the throw-up in the halls, bathrooms, ceilings, floors, and doors was getting tiresome. Drinking... smoking... partying... It's all great but on midterm week on a Wednesday at 3 am I have to pass. Anyway, those and a multitude of other reasons are why I withdrew (the nice word for dropping out) from Humboldt State so I could regain my health. I've been back on my feet for a few months- I'm a working stiff and I still find time to do my (almost) daily guitar practice. Been meeting a lot of new people in the past few weeks too, which is great. Poetry hasn't been of any interest to me for some reason- maybe because I only wrote it when I was lonely. I haven't been lonely since even before the last poem I wrote. It's too bad though- I love writing it but if it's something that only comes out of my pen in such a bad state then I might as well just wait until that time comes.

I went to this party that preceded a contest that preceded a parade. The occasion? Beards. Something like the "World's Annual Beard Contest". One guy had a fucking windmill shaped on his beard. A windmill made of hair. I tried talking to a few of them at the party and they were all very nice people- I think I want to grow a beard and then go on the contest. Lots of them had never been to Alaska and were from places like Germany and Sweden. I ended up looking very silly trying to speak English to a table full of foreigners. Anyway, I'm enjoying being back home and maybe I'll end up getting some more poetry here- or lyrics more likely.

thankyou for the favourite. i hope you are having a good day.
Lame. I just realized after not checking my devations for a while, getting them clogged in the drain that is the internet, and in my haste to get rid of them, I didn't realize you'd posted new stuff.

Meh, I get to read it now, at least. ^^

You need a picture for your ID. I put your icon as a link in any art I reference you in, and it looks like a boring gray box. You're not a boring gray box are you?

I think not.

But even if you were a boring gray box, I'd still love you.

Haha yeah, I don't know much about art either, I sorta just muck around on Paint Shop Pro til something looks good enough. I'm a singer/writer-type person.
